I recently attended the Perfect Your Own Makeup course at NE Academy and I can’t recommend it enough. As a 43-year-old woman, makeup has become a bit of a minefield. My skin has changed and the products I used in my 20s don’t work anymore. I find myself buying products that are recommended on socials, but they never work for me.
This course was exactly what I needed. Instead of a one-size-fits-all approach, we learned what actually works for our own face shapes, skin tones, and changing skin. Lisa colour mapped us to give us an idea of tones and shades to look for when buying makeup (and clothes) and the best places to test products to get a good match on your skin.
Everything was explained so clearly, and I came away with practical techniques I can confidently use every day. No paint by numbers teaching and a routine that will easily fit into my daily life.
The atmosphere was warm, supportive, and fun. I left feeling so much more confident doing my own makeup. Lisa showed us that we don’t need to spend fortunes to get good products plus included in the course was a brush set and a full face makeup kit in the style of a bogus magazine which we used on the day. Super cute but also really bloody good products.
If you’ve found makeup becoming trickier as your skin changes, I’d wholeheartedly recommend this course. Thank you Lisa, for such a fantastic experience.
